Today marks day six for me as the new Managing Director of EMEA Sales. Plans for the new UK office – where I will be based – are moving along nicely, and the Denmark-based distribution centre – which will provide just-in-time shipping, support, and delivery of product across the EMEA region – is on-track to open by year-end. This consolidation of EMEA operations will address any residual growing pains, and enable us to capitalize on growth opportunities more effectively for a successful 2016.

One of my major goals is to build a sustainable growth platform across key EMEA markets. The more people I speak with, the clearer it becomes that Spectralink is poised for significant growth with its strong product portfolio and talented associates and partners. Spectralink has clear intent for future build-out of product, maintenance and services. I see great growth potential in our core verticals of healthcare, retail, and beyond as mobile communication devices continue to revolutionize the workplace. As we seek to innovate and enhance our product line, such as with the PIVOT enterprise smartphone range, we will open up new markets with new applications.

Whilst growth is important, I see people being vital to our growth plan. It will be key for us to recognise and empower our core talent whilst on boarding fresh experts in new job roles.

Another critical need I’ve identified is building on our customer and partner feedback. We have strong partner relationships in key markets with loyalty to our brand, yet in reviewing the recent partner survey I understand that our selling process needs to be simplified and strengthened to underpin our plans for expansion. This is something I am looking at closely. I’m also keen to forge joint efforts with existing and new partners for vertical sales expansion opportunities. We want to continue creating value for our partners and end users so we can continue to grow and together.

It’s a great time to be a part of Spectralink’s EMEA expansion, and I’m excited about the opportunities I foresee with our partners and customers.
